An MPH program trains students to become public health practitioners who work at non-profit organizations, or in industry to work with communities, implement and evaluate public health programs, and/or help raise public awareness of best health care practices.
Any graduate can attended the course but it is preferable for candidates with medical/ health science background (Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, Medical Technology, Nursing and Community Health).
Protocol submission to the Board of Research and Ethical Review Committee shall be satisfactory within 8 months of the course. Thesis submission and defense shall be done two months before the final examination. If the candidate fails to submit thesis in-time, he/she shall be regarded as failure (1F).
The candidate shall be allowed to extend the course for maximum one year period (six months extension in one time for maximum two times) to make necessary correction or preparation for final thesis. Satisfactory defense is expected not more than three years from the start of the course.
